Rihanna is no newbie to the beauty industry with a couple of collaborations with M.A.C. Little did we know that the singer would take the plunge and launch her own line of cosmetics. It’s finally here guys after a month of anticipation and hints dropped by Rihanna herself on her instagram page. Fenty Beauty launched 12 midnight Friday, 8th of September (Read more about it here).
Being a known trendsetter and fashion enthusiast it comes as no surprise that the range of products comes in oh so chic packaging. But what you didn’t expect was a range of foundations in a whopping 40 shades.!!! Did you scream? Because I did. Even most traditional beauty brands do not have such a wide shade range. I guess that’s where the brand motto comes in…. makeup for all. Ok, let’s discuss the full range. There are a total of 91 different variations of Fenty Beauty for sale. The line places its focus on skin and consists mainly of face products.
What’s up for grabs….
The Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation
In 40 boundary-breaking shades, the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation claims to gives skin an instantly smooth, shine-free finish and is buildable from medium to full coverage. The oil-free formula is made with climate-adaptive technology that’s resistant to sweat and humidity, without clogging pores. It also claims to be skin like whilst achieving all these feats.
The Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer
The primer is described as shine-stopping and pore-diffusing that makes for better foundation application and longer wear with an instant retouch effect.
The Match Stix Shimmer Skin
A makeup stick in “a longwear, light-as-air shimmer formula to highlight, blush, and bronze”. It comes in 10 colorful shades.
The Match Stix Matte Skin stick
A longwear, light matte formula to conceal, correct and contour. Available in 20 shades.
The Match Stix Trio (Conceal, Contour and Highlight)
A trio of makeup sticks with two matte skinsticks to conceal and contour, and one shimmer skinstick to highlight.
The Matchstix Customizable Trio
An option exclusive to FentyBeauty.com pick your own trio of makeup sticks, with three shades of your choice: two matte skinsticks to conceal and contour, and one shimmer skinstick to highlight. Available in four shade options.
The Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter
This claims to be a light but long wear cream-powder highlighter that ranges from subtle to really intense. Comes in two singles and four duos.
The Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
The only lip product in the range. It is a pinkish shimmery nude lipgloss. It was handpicked by Rihanna herself.
Invisimatte Blotting Powder
A translucent blotting powder that absorbs shine and diffuses the look of pores. Fenty Beauty assures that it won’t cake, creep into pores or fine lines, or disturb makeup. They also say it prolongs the wear of your foundation. Cute portable blotting paper that lets you touch up with a refillable mirrored compact that allows you tear out blotting paper as you need it.
Every octagonal shaped product in this line comes magnetized. This super cool feature means all your makeup stays together wherever you put it. Also available in the line are some really cute face brushes. The price ranges from $10-$54 (approximately N 3,650- N 19,710).
Will they be available in Nigeria anytime soon? I sure hope so. I am itching to try the Invisimatte blotting powder and the Pro Filt’r Soft matte foundation. At $32 and $34(N11680 and N12410) respectively. It is pricey but well worth the bucks if the products live up to the brand claims.

FEEL LIKE PRESSURE, AND IT SHOULD NEVER FEEL
