Hi lash lovers!!! And you too lash newbies. This is a guide to teach you about types of lash extensions available in the market just so you know exactly what you are buying and what is worth your money.

1. Synthetic Lashes

These lashes are:

  • Made of acrylic/ recycled plastic and/or rubber.
  • Very firm, not as soft as other types.
  • Heavier than other lash types.
  • Not as natural looking as the other types (it has a plastic look and feel).
  • Have a thicker non flexible band.
  • All strands curl the same, doesn’t come in wispy or feathery looking styles.
  • Can be used twice at most.

2. Human Hair Lashes

These lashes are

  • Made of 100% (sanitized) human hair (when made ethically).
  • More expensive than synthetic but still super affordable.
  • Are light and best for a natural look
  • Can be reused up to 10 times if well cared for, but at least 5 times.
  • Made with super flexible invisible or black cotton band.

Silk Lashes

These lashes are:

  • Finer than synthetic.
  • Are darker, thicker and glossier than real mink and sable.
  • Softer than synthetic and human hair.
  • Made with super flexible invisible or black cotton band.
  • Reusable up to 20 times.

4. Faux-Mink Lashes

These lashes are:

  • Made from poly fibers.
  • Soft and silky almost like real mink.
  • Won’t lose their curl when wet
  • Shinier than silk.
  • Lightweight and comfortable.

5. Mink Lashes

  • They feel very natural, like real lashes.
  • Mink lashes are feathery soft.
  • Super thin and wispy.
  • Very rare and expensive

These lashes are:

  • Full and lightweight.
  • Softer and lighter than real mink lashes.
  • Have less sheen than mink.

P.S:
• You can only get the most use out of your lashes with proper care.
• Do not yank them off. Instead take off with gentle tugs
• Only apply glue at the bands and only a thin line of glue
• After taking off gently take of all remnants of glue& mascara and wash with mild soapy water or wipe clean with wipes.
• Store back in their packaging or a clean dry container.
